OUR STOry - from the beginning
Fond memories, that ignited a passion for the doberman breed
Nearly 50 years ago, my father took possession of his first doberman, a girl, who naturally protected him (as a 10 year old boy) from a violent drunk as he was walking down the street. From that day on, it was dobermans all the way.
The photo to the left is of my sister and I, with our family doberman, Sarah, back in 1989.
A passion from an early age
Since the moment I could walk, I was infatuated with dogs. This is me at 2-3 years old playing tug-of-war with our German Shepherd, BJ.
Life in the show ring
For years, my parents bred and showed dobermans with extensive awards won and top placements gained. They were heavily involved in the doberman club scene, including a stint as the president of the Doberman Club of New South Wales. Numerous dogs where imported to introduce the best genetics from around the world.

While all of the above was going on, my doberman Zara and I were off making memories
While breeding and showing dogs is somewhat satisfying, forming an unbreakable bond with your doberman and exploring the world together is next level. It's what they were bred to do, and in my opinion the doberman bonds deeper to their owners than any other breed of dog in the world when given the opportunity.
Real World Temperament Testing
It was at this time I realized that the best way to truly test a dogs physical and mental attributes is in the real world. A dog raised in a loving family environment, socialized properly from an early age will show you its true potential.

Our Dobies are physically and mentally sounds, as tested in the real world. They're genetics are carefully selected for longevity, strength of character and intelligence. Combine all of these attributes with a good dose of goofiness, and you get one heck of a dog!
